What's the best way to get from common airports to the city centre?

There are a variety of ways to get into London from Heathrow. I would suggest either the London Underground or Heathrow Express to get into the city. If you have a specific place in mind and don't mind paying extra, taxis might be the best way to go. Heathrow's website contains more information on all of the above.
