Taxis are incredibly safe and easy to use - drivers have to go through intensive courses to ensure they know every single spot in London!
At a taxi rank, you should always approach the taxi at the front of the queue (if there are multiple waiting). To flag down a taxi you should find one with an illuminated 'TAXI' sign on it's roof. Make eye contact with the driver and stick your hand out.
You should speak to the driver through the window to confirm your destination. At the end of the journey you can pay via cash or card based on a price on the meter. These are always set via TFL and so will be the same across all black cabs.
For saftey, you should ensure it is a black London cab and has a Taxi verification badge which will be located next to it's vehicle registration/number plate.
