Are credit/debit cards widely accepted?

Yes credit and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere across Italy. However, smaller purchases such as coffees or other drinks will be preferred to be paid in cash or sometimes required in Italy.

It's useful to note that gondolas are cash only.
